What an exhausting week..

I feel like I can sleep all day.

That's how tired I am.

I'm tired of everything.

Tired of people.

Tired of work.

Just need my space.

Well at least I feel like I've been doing something with my life.

Working hard to save for uni.

Planning out my future...

Helping out at home.

It was only after yesterday when Grandma went back to her place, where I realised how empty it felt.

Felt the same kind of sadness Mum felt.

There was something in the air about having company around.

The maid to help out with our chores. Grandma's silly antics. The house felt lively for once.

And now we're left.. on our own again.

Back to our old routine.

Which isn't much.

But I guess I feel the need to change that.

Just wanna spend as much time as I can with my parents I guess.

I feel like they need me.

And I want to be around them more.

They're not getting any younger...

And so am I.

Life is short, so cherish your loved ones.

Unexpected events lead to... unexpected places.

At least that's how it felt today.

I found myself outside my primary school.

I stood there. Reminiscing my early days.

Everything was so different. Yet so nostalgic.

The school gate was open.

I saw soccer kids jogging around the field in the sun.

The pathway was new. I walked around the perimeters.

Passed by the carpark where I'd always wait for my Mum to pick me up.

 I remembered then. If she was a minute late, I'd get a weird feeling in my tummy. Like I'd lose her. And I was so scared of that. It was the worst nightmare.

I smiled to myself. What a silly innocent boy I was.

I continued strolling by the fence. 

The Garden.

That was where I'd spent most of my recess time.

I didnt mix around much with the rest of my classmates.

I preferred time alone. Enjoying the nature. Strolling by the pretty plants. The butterflies floating pass me. The smell of grass. It was my safe spot. I was.. in my own world then.

But it's changed now. Gone were the grassy areas, replaced by the concrete floor. I didnt know how to feel about it.

I walked to the end of the fence. There was a strange sense of belonging and peace.

The classrooms were dark. I can remember bits & pieces of it. Only faint memories.

I decided to go back, the route that I always took.

I walked passed some kids holding some school stuff, & they gave me a shy stare. I gave a faint smile.

They reminded me of me.

Sometimes, I wish I could be an innocent kid forever.

Gone were those days..

But I'm glad to share a bit of my past.
